On a viral clip from Aristotle Investment legendary rapper Bun B gave podcaster Aristotle some advice about what to tell family members who constantly ask for money.
Bun B has an interesting take on how folks with money should ‘handle’ family members who ask for money, or who feel entitled to help.
The host said he doesn’t tell people no any more because he does not want to be the ‘bad guy’. He confessed that he simply doesn’t pick up the phone.
Bun B immediately disagreed with that method, saying… ‘you gotta tell them no’ and you cannot wait to do it because you are afraid of what they will think.
In his opinion you will never be able to please everyone, so you might as well just get it over with.

A few people disagreed with Bun B one commenter suggesting to use the loan as an opportunity to take a tax write off.
Why not write them a check and give them a Job to do for the money and write it off as a tax write off
and another said he was being selfish:

Tell a few family members no immediately and they will never ask you again. It’s really simple. A lot of us are first generation- if we don’t move the money forward to the next generation we will NEVER attain wealth. Your children deserve to have a solid inheritance when you pass.
and another:
Once u start touching some type of money you can teach ya fam or position them how to get money it’s not about giving them the fish but teaching them how to fish. I know what he mean some family members love begging forever cause they know your a giver and to eliminate all that you can position them and if they blow all the capital and game connections mentor coaches etc and still come back begging then u can tell them no cause they should know not to come back.

MC Hammer was a prime example of someone that was trying to help EVERYONE. In the end, he was reduced to doing commercials for the adhesive wall hooks. Keep your money. If you give them anything, give them the knowledge to duplicate your success.
