Chile, it’s not just drama on-screen — Real Housewives of Atlanta newcomer Brit Eady is taking things to court, and she’s not playing.
The reality star has officially filed a whopping $20 million lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, and the production companies behind RHOA, claiming she was exploited in one of the show’s most jaw-dropping moments.
The controversy stems from that explosive scene at Kenya Moore’s hair spa opening in June 2024.
During the event, Kenya unveiled posters showing a woman performing a sexual act — a move that the show heavily implied was a shady clapback aimed at Brit, despite the fact that Brit wasn’t even at the event.
The message was loud and messy, and both castmates and viewers were left believing the woman in the explicit photo was Eady.
According to the lawsuit, Brit says she repeatedly asked producers to see the photo in question, but they allegedly refused.
Now she’s accusing Bravo and its partners of being either fully aware — or dangerously negligent — in letting the damaging narrative air.
In the legal filing, Brit claims she’s suffered “emotional distress, workplace harassment, and reputational harm” that extends far beyond reality TV antics.
According to VIBE on Instagram Stories, Eady announced she would not be attending the RHOA reunion, and expressed her emotional state.
“The events of this season have devastated me… I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me,” she wrote.
She went on to clarify that she reacted based on what she was told, not what she saw, and only recently viewed the image for the first time — confirming it wasn’t her.
“I did not see the photo at the time,” she continued. “Rather, I was made aware of the photo being presented at the event, and based on what I was told, assumed that it was somehow a photo of me — which is why I reacted in the way that I did.”
“I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,” she continued.
While Kenya Moore is not named in the lawsuit, her role in the controversy remains relevant. Moore was suspended from filming for the remainder of Season 16 after an internal investigation, and she later issued a public apology via X on Thursday (June 5).
“I’m disappointed to not be a part of the #RHOA 16 reunion taping today,” she wrote. “Please know I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests and viewers. I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.”
Both Moore and Eady reportedly opted out of attending the Season 16 reunion taping, which has yet to air.
