According to Complex, the rapper stopped mid-song during her performance after seeing a fight in the crowd.

However, instead of stopping the fight, Saweetie’s words caused a stampede as concertgoers fled for the exits.

According to fans, the rapper’s reaction to the fight made revelers think someone was wielding a gun.
The rapper took to X to defend herself from those allegations.
On Sunday night, she wrote:
“Hope everyone got home safe tonight. that crowd looked crazy.”
However, a fan took offense and wrote:
“Talking about the crowd looked crazy lol it was a FESTIVAL! Straight [clown] don’t bring your ass back to Chicago, you’ve done enough…it was babies out there getting trampled on for NOTHING.”
Saweetie clapped back:
“well… the crowd did look crazy which is why i hope everyone got home safe… also, I could’ve went home after the fight broke out but i STAYED, waited & after 2 chains performed I went BACK ON STAGE to finish my set bc I CARE… u clearly don’t like me so why you stay for the rest of my set when the FESTIVAL was clearly over?”
On Monday afternoon, the rapper then responded to footage of the stampede.
