According to multiple reports, that’s just what the hit maker did with her new Whiskey brand SirDavis.
To ensure impartiality, her team entered Sir Davis into competitions under the name “Davis Hogue Distilling Company,” SirDavis competed in the 2023 whiskey contests and achieved remarkable success.
It secured the Gold Medal at the NY International Spirits Competition, earned Best of Class at the SIP Awards, and received a notable “Highly Recommended” rating at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
Beyoncé secretly submitted SirDavis to prestigious whisky contests in 2023 under the pseudonym “Davis Hogue Distilling Company” and won several awards:

In her press release Bey wrote:
“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whiskey,” she wrote. “And [I] wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling.” Beyonce partnered with Moët Hennessy to bring SirDavis to life, which is named after her great grandfather, Davis Hogue. “We have crafted a delicious American whiskey that respects tradition,” the pop star added. “But also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter with SirDavis, they looked to challenge the category norms and offer something new in the space,”.
“The distinctive grain selection and unusual secondary maturation in sherry casks helped us achieve a signature profile completely unique to SirDavis, one of bold sophistication.”
