In the new episode of Braxton Family values, social media is reacting to a clip where Tamar admits that she was allegedly the last person to find out about her sister Traci’s illness.
She said she found out by accident after witnessing her mother Evelyn Braxton ‘weeping’ in the kitchen.

People are split on whether or not Tamar should have been ‘the last to know’ as its alleged in the video.
One user said:
There is no morally “right” thing for Traci to do. She’s at the end of her life. She’s allowed to spend it how she wants. Like please lease be serious. Putting value on Tamars “mourning process” bcs it’s “not cool” is a crazy thing to ask of someone who’s passing away
and another had a similar sentiment saying:
It was Traci’s right not to share her most vulnerable moment if she didn’t feel safe. And the family was right to honor Traci’s wishes. This is about Tamar being accountable for the consequences she has earned
and another:
They know Tamar better than anyone. There’s a reason why they didn’t tell her and Traci didn’t want her to know. Tamar has a certain level of viciousness when she’s dealing with her sisters. I started watching the earlier seasons and stopped bc Tamar was so mean and annoying.
But there are some that disagree and think Tamar should have known because she is in fact ‘a sister too’.
No matter what has taken place in the past, a serious matter such as this, Tamar should have known. She’s a sister too, not a random in the street. Yes Tamar has been something diff, but this wasn’t right at all. Which makes her mourning process something challenging. Not cool!
and another person agreed saying:
I definitely agree with this I feel like they cheated her out of that time with Traci I remember when my grandma went down and nobody told me anything until it was the last possible minute that shit hurts so I feel Tamar
more Twitter reaction:
Tamar didn’t know Traci had cancer until she was on hospice?! I know they weren’t on good terms but that’s still crazy to me. This show has been absolutely terrible for the Braxton’s image. Things happen in families but DAMN!#TheBraxtons pic.twitter.com/Kl3c4QI4Ba

That had to hurt Tamar to be the last one to know her sister was dying & nobody told her. I get they wanted Traci to tell her but its still sad
Trina bringing up a 2020 show it was 2022, I don't care if we beefing, don't let me find out when my sister is on hospice#TheBraxtons pic.twitter.com/DR8rQs4Dkf— Nicole (@Nprezzed) September 6, 2024

This entire show has been a case study on grief and the unhealthy black family dynamics. I feel so terrible. Especially for Tamar. She’s babied and then resented for being a baby. Tawanda even in this little clips entire body language says “I loathe your existence” https://t.co/3o4P6Z7W8X

I think the Toni, Trina, ToWanda, and Tamar needs to admit that they were terrible siblings
to Traci. That’s the legit ROOT in all of this intension this season. They’re talking about grieving over Traci’s passing, they’re afraid to address the ROOT of it all. #TheBraxtons— ???? (@rabbigracias) September 7, 2024
The Braxtons returned to We TV — two years after the death of Traci Braxton, a singer, actress and TV/radio personality who appeared on all seven seasons of their previous series for the AMC Networks-owned cabler, “Braxton Family Values.”
What do you think about the video? Should they have told Tamar earlier or simply respected Traci’s wishes.
