News broke on Sunday that the Wendy Williams Show will officially end in June and the “Sherri Shepard Show” will start in the Fall.
In an exclusive with B.Scott, sources close to production have shared:
“The producers informed everyone that the [Wendy Show] was being canceled at the end of June. Then in the next breath, they hired everyone to work on the new Sherri show.”
Production sources also shared that Wendy has been ‘checked out’ for quite some time and had become increasingly difficult to work with prior to her medical leave.
“[Wendy] had become somewhat unbearable, having tantrums and throwing things at people. Basically, the consensus among the crew is that she didn’t wanna be there anymore. Her illnesses may have exacerbated that feeling.”
We shared earlier this week Wendy shared a video to her personal Instagram account of herself in good spirits, walking on the beach and talking with her son Kevin.
In that video, she shared she was optimistic about returning to her show stronger than ever.
Social media reacted to the news, many sharing how important her legacy is and that she should possibly start a podcast.
