T.J. Holmes has officially pulled the plug on his marriage.
According to Page Six, the Good Morning America host filed for divorce from his second wife, Marilee Fiebig, nearly a month after his relationship with his ‘GMA3’ cohost Amy Robach was made public.
Holmes, 45, filed the paperwork Wednesday (December 28) in New York City, according to documents obtained by the news outlet. This comes after about 12 years of marriage (the ex-couple tied the knot in March 2010) and a month since folks found out about his affair with colleague Amy Robach.
Interestingly enough, Holmes and Robach were recently seen jetting at the airport in Atlanta on Monday morning, ready to spend New Year’s festivities together.
Holmes and Robach made major headlines after the Daily Mail published a series of photos of them flirting and spending time together in NYC. Despite the revelation, the two continued hosting GMA3 but were suspended ‘indefinitely’ shortly after.
Twitter had a field day with the publicized ‘romantic photos’ believing Holmes had an alleged affair. It was later confirmed that the pair was in a serious relationship, but it happened after they were separated from their respective spouses. Page Six even reported their romance started brewing while the duo was training for the NYC Half Marathon in March.

“They always had a spark, and their work trips away together brought them even closer,” sources said about Holmes and Robach, adding that their relationship “blossomed from a close friendship.” The insider noted that the couple “have been trying to keep their relationship a secret until they were ready to announce.”
Since the news broke out, neither has made any public statements regarding their relationship. Sources, however, informed Page Six that Fiebig, an immigration lawyer, was “blindsided” by the alleged affair.
Another source claimed the two had been separated for several months but were “trying to work things out” when news of the alleged workplace romance broke in late November.
“She’s devastated. She had no idea,” the informant said, adding that the two “were just together for T.J.’s birthday [on August 19].”
Robach, for her part, was married to Andrew Shue; however, their divorce is almost finalized, and some sources revealed that the “Melrose Place” alum moved out from their marital home earlier this summer.”
Well – now, even with their professional careers hanging in the balance, Holmes and Robach can parade their romance in peace.
