I have posted about JazzNicole’s faux loc technique before and the response was huge! She came up with a new technique where she does not use corn rows or braid patterns to install her crochet locs which is a game changer for many of us.
Watch the original video I posted here.
This time she has a demonstration of the same technique but without extra wrapping which makes the technique even easier than before.
I love this technique because honestly, I could not do a braid pattern on my hair if it were handed to me on a silver platter. I think the fact that the hair is installed tension free which most crochet styles are is a plus and is great for those of us who are serious about protective styling.
The only thing that might be a problem is that this technique utilizes only one specific type of hair which Jazz mentions in her second video above. The hair has to be able to coil out and coil in to hold your hair in place after the install.
The hair that works at the moment is the Bobbi Boss Synthetic Hair Crochet Braids Faux Locs Style Senegal Bomba Dreadlocks which is ok, as long as you can get it.
Other than that this technique is still awesome in my book!
