A woman accused TJ Holmes of taking her phone while flying to Los Angeles.
According to RadarOnline.com, the former Good Morning America host talked about the incident during his podcast with his girlfriend, Amy Robach.
The 46-year-old revealed he was in first class and left to use the bathroom.
However, a woman stopped him abruptly.
“She steps toward me and gestures — almost like she’s about to frisk me — and says, ‘Oh, you don’t have it.’ [She] flat out accuses me of taking her phone.”
Holmes revealed the accusation took him off-guard and he confronted the woman.
“At this point, she’s a short lady, so I actually scooch, I crouch down, I put my hands on my knees and get down to her level, and I say, ‘Ma’am, are you telling me I took your phone?’ And then she says, ‘Oh, no, but it was there,’ and then kind of ignores me.”
The Incident Bugged TJ Holmes
TJ Holmes revealed the flight attendant was “overly apologetic,” but he was already “hot” over the incident.
“I go back to my seat next to row 5C, and I don’t sit in my seat. I sit on the armrest.”
TJ Holmes saw the woman keep looking for her phone, and she discovered it had fallen near her seat.
She then apologized to Holmes.
“Sorry just doesn’t cut it at that point.”
TJ Holmes was pleased with his reaction to the situation, and that there were people to witness the incident.
“If there weren’t more people around, I don’t think I would have bent down and would have been as assertive as I was because I wouldn’t have a witness that I wasn’t aggressive towards her or whatever it may be. But that was a wild flight experience.”
Robach noted how the flight attendant kept apologizing for the “difficult” woman.
