Toni Braxton and Birdman reportedly tied the knot last year, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
The longtime on-and-off couple allegedly said “I do” on August 8, 2024.
However, Toni, 57, filed to end their marriage just two weeks later, claiming that their union was “irretrievably broken.”
The singer listed their date of separation as August 10, 2024—just two days after their wedding, per divorce documents obtained by the outlet.
Five months later, in January, Toni had a change of heart and reportedly dismissed the divorce petition, which Birdman (real name Bryan Christopher Williams) signed off on.
Still, it’s unclear if the “Wasn’t Man Enough” singer and Birdman, 56, are still an item in real life or just on paper.
Toni notably hasn’t been wearing a wedding ring in any of her recent social media posts. The couple also deleted pictures of each other from their respective feeds.
In December 2023, Toni denied that she and the “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy” rapper were married, calling him “dear friend.”
“My dear friend Birdman and I are not married…never been married. We are both single,” she said at the time.
Toni and Birdman went public with their relationship in June of 2016.
Then, in 2018, according to reports by Vibe, the “Spanish Guitar” singer posted pictures from the day the record label founder proposed to her. The couple reportedly got engaged in 2017.
“A couple min before we got engaged… Then 24hrs after,” Toni captioned snaps from her engagement night.
The pair also teased their engagement on an episode of Braxton Family Values.
Birdman spoke to Wendy Williams at the time and gushed over the Grammy winner, telling the talk show host:
“That’s my love, my soldier, my life — she’s my everything,” he told the talk show host. “She’s my life — I love her to death.”
