Everybody wildin this summer! According to COMPLEX Travis Scott was arrested overnight on Thursday, with records showing that he was taken in for alleged disorderly intoxication and trespassing in Florida.
Per an initial report from CBS News, the incident transpired on Miami Beach, with the arrest itself taking place at the Miami Beach Marina.
Public records from Miami-Dade County showed that Scott, born Jacques Webster II, was booked at 4:35 a.m. local time on Thursday.
Listed charges included trespassing after warning, with a bond amount of $500, and disorderly intoxication, with a bond amount of $150.
Early Thursday morning, Scott, or whoever was currently operating his Twitter account, shared a simple “Lol” without going into further detail about the events of the prior evening.
Shortly after, he shared and edited version of his mugshot to IG:
News of Scott’s arrest first broke via Miami-based talk show host Andy Slater.
Regional outlet WSVN states that Scott is alleged to have been on a charter boat at the time of the disturbance. He was reportedly asked to leave “multiple times.”
Sources familiar with the situation tell Complex that there was no physical altercation. Instead, per sources, this was merely a lively party. In fact, Scott is said to have already been bailed out and has returned home.
When reached for comment, a Miami Beach Police Department rep confirmed the arrest, noting that it took place at around 1:44 a.m. local time.
In an arrest affidavit, viewed by Complex, police say they first responded to reports of a disturbance on a yacht, with a dispatcher reporting “people fighting on the vessel.”
At one point, police alleged, Scott was spotted “yelling at” those on the boat in question, at which point a smell of alcohol was detected.
In short, Scott was told to leave the yacht, which police allege he declined to do. In the affidavit, the arresting officer writes that Scott “later admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and stated, ‘It’s Miami.'”
This isn’t the first such arrest to involve a public figure this week.
Justin Timberlake, as previously reported, was arrested in the Hamptons and accused of driving while intoxicated on Tuesday.
Scott, meanwhile, was previously arrested for disorderly conduct back in 2015 and 2017, respectively, in connection with live performances.
