Issa Rae the curator of the ‘Awkward Black Girl’ series on YouTube has been working on a new comedy series for HBO Called “Insecure” and the trailer just dropped.
I cannot tell you how much I want this girl to win because this is the epitome of having a talent, loving what you do, finding a way to bring your creative genius to the masses then realizing your dreams on a big scale.
She is literally the poster board for any person out there who has a dream and realizes it in a huge way with a ton of hard work mixed in.
The new comedy series is set to hit our TV screens in the Fall!

Awkward Black Girl star Issa Rae has spent the last few years working on a new comedy for HBO, and it’s just around the corner after suffering through its fair share of development hell.
Insecure’s eight-episode first season is premiering this fall, and the network released its first short trailer this afternoon.
Rae’s character works for an outreach program, a gig that forces her to ping back and forth between her clueless white coworkers and the mostly black children insistent on clowning her. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s dealing with a boyfriend who seems like he’s more trouble than he’s worth.
Based on Rae’s earlier work, you can expect Insecure to be sharp, fearless, and super funny. (The trailer alone climaxes on a perfect quote: “Black women aren’t bitter.
They’re just tired of being expected to settle for less.”) And since this clip’s set to Missy Elliott’s “WTF (Where They From),” you can rest assured the music selection’s going to be on point, too. We don’t know Insecure’s exact premiere date yet, but it should hit HBO well before the end of the year.
