It seems Kanye’s “Stronger” influence might have gone too far, as a Louisville woman claims he used mind control to make her steal a vehicle with a child inside.
28-year-old Ricki Smith claims that Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) telegraphically told her to steal a vehicle outside Evansville with a child inside.
According to an affidavit obtained by WEHT, the woman was apprehended on Friday (August 30th) after bystanders reported her for allegedly trying to break into vehicles outside of a business in Evansville.
One person told authorities he was working when he saw Ricki attempting to unlock car doors in the parking lot. She found one unlocked car and sat inside briefly.
Ricki later allegedly entered a second vehicle as a mother went into a store nearby. At that point, the witness tried pulling her out of the vehicle but couldn’t because Ricki was holding on to the gear shifter.
That was when the mother reportedly ran over and pulled out Ricki by her hair.
When Evansville Police arrived at the scene, the mother explained that she was on her way to daycare but quickly made a stop to get something from the store. She claimed she left the car unlocked and started walking across the street when she saw Ricki getting into her vehicle.
She informed the authorities that she wanted to file charges against Ricki because her child was still in the backseat.
Ricki claimed her car broke down while she was going from Louisville to Evansville.
Then, when asked why she would steal the car, the 28-year-old alleged that Kanye spoke to her telegraphically and had told her to steal it.
She was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. Her abandoned car was later found wrecked into a tree line off Highway 64.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Kanye has been in the headlines regarding mind control. In 2018, during one of his more intense social media phases, Kanye took to X to warn his followers of the effects of mind control.
“I just want to talk about mind control,” he said at the time. “You know, when people try to influence you through social media and try to tell you what to do, or if you post something that’s, like, positive on Instagram, it gets taken down if it’s not a part of a bigger agenda.”
