There is no doubt that the Braxton Sisters have been going through it, especially after the tragic loss of their sister Traci Braxton.
As the sisters try to come to terms with their grief the strain between Towanda Braxton and Tamar Braxton is brought front and center in the latest episodes of Braxton Family Values.
During a family counseling session, Tamar admits to reaching out to Towanda accusing her of only responding when it was time to film the show.
Towanda claims that she has set strict boundaries around her self and her immediate family that makes her ‘numb’ to the clear rift between herself and Tamar.
She does admit to talking to her other sisters daily in comparison to Tamar who claims she has not spoken to her in six months.
They lost a whole sister & still acting like this. They’ve learned. NOTHING. Shameful.

Toni Braxton and Grief
Toni was very candid with PEOPLE about how she is dealing with her own grief despite what is happening with her sisters.
Toni revealed that she felt powerless after learning of her sister’s Esophageal cancer diagnosis.
“When Traci got diagnosed, it didn’t seem real at all,” she shares. “It still doesn’t.”
“For me, family is the most important thing in my life,” she continues. “I spent my whole life caring for and protecting my sisters, but this was different because there’s nothing I could do. I felt so helpless, like I couldn’t do anything to save her.”
Traci’s illness was especially difficult for Toni, who was navigating living with lupus, an autoimmune disorder she was first diagnosed with in 2007 while performing in Las Vegas.
“That’s really hard for me to digest, because I was a sick one, not Traci,” she says.
Toni announced Traci’s death at age 50 on Instagram in March 2022, writing in a statement,
“It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci.”
“Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly,” the statement continued.
At the time, Traci’s husband, Kevin Surratt, confirmed she was “privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer” before her death.
