Baby One More Time?
Hold on to your tutus and dancing slippers because Britney Spears might be coming back to the spotlight!
According to RadarOnline, promoters are dangling some serious cash – we’re talking $50 million to $100 million – to lure the pop princess back for a concert tour.
Britney, who last performed live in October 2018, vowed she would never return to the music industry, but this offer might lure her back, sources close to the chart-topping performer spilled.
And while Britney hasn’t jumped at the chance just yet, an insider hinted that her tune could change once she realizes the serious moolah she could earn.
They speculated that she might want the “kind of cash influx a tour could offer” to “fill the hole” in her wallet.
But hold the phone!
This doesn’t mean Britney is in financial turmoil. In fact, according to sources close to the pop princess, Britney’s memoir The Woman in Me “earned her” some serious “dough.”
The Work B**** hitmaker made over 40 million since being freed from her 13-year conservatorship in 2021.
Adding to her financial cushion was Britney’s collaboration with Elton John, her successful fragrance line, and earnings from her extensive music catalog royalties.
However, “you can see the day coming the way she’s ripping through her cash reserve,” the insider claimed.
According to US Weekly, Britney’s been known to live by the mantra “spend it like you can make it,” treating herself to lavish getaways and fashion splurges, sometimes cancelling plans on a whim.
Reflecting on her tumultuous conservatorship in her memoir, Britney bared her soul, revealing how it stripped away her identity and her passion for music.
“I had been so infantilized that I was losing pieces of what made me feel like myself,” the singer candidly shared in her memoir. “The conservatorship stripped me of my womanhood, made me into a child. I became more of an entity than a person onstage.”
“I had always felt music in my bones and my blood; they stole that from me.”
And while there might have been a plan in place for her post-conservatorship life, some insiders worry the freedom might be leading to a spending spree.
“No one followed it [the financial plan]! The money is going out quickly,” one source claims.
But hey, who can blame Britney for living her best life? As one insider aptly put it, “It’s her money.” And if anyone deserves to call the shots in her life and hit the stage on her own terms, it’s Britney.
But Brit, if you’re listening, could we just have you come back one more time?
We’re ready for you to work, b*tch!
