Jeannie Mai is taking legal action against her ex-husband, rapper Jeezy, over claims that he hasn’t upheld the terms of their divorce settlement, just months after the couple officially parted ways.
According to TMZ, the The Real host is accusing Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, of failing to meet several key financial obligations that were outlined in their agreement.
These include paying daycare fees for their two-year-old daughter Monaco, depositing at least $500,000 into an account for their child, transferring the titles of a 2021 Range Rover and a 2022 Ford Bronco, and covering Mai’s rent for four months.
Mai claims that Jeezy has not given her access to Monaco’s interest-accruing bank account, and that he currently owes $4,000 in unpaid tuition and childcare fees for their daughter.
Additionally, the delay in transferring the car titles has reportedly left Mai unable to insure the vehicles, while the Bronco remains stuck in Atlanta instead of being shipped to her in Los Angeles.
Mai also alleges that Jeezy hasn’t paid her rent from May to August, leaving her seeking reimbursement for a total of $92,417.39.
Frustrated by the delays, Mai is now asking the court to hold Jeezy in contempt, demanding that the settlement be paid along with interest.
She and her legal team reportedly tried to resolve the issue with Jeezy’s representatives, but claim they haven’t received a response since July.
This latest development adds to the ongoing saga between Mai and Jeezy, following a messy divorce that saw Mai accusing Jeezy of domestic abuse and child neglect—allegations that he has denied.
At one point, Jeezy even sought primary custody of their daughter, citing Mai’s busy travel schedule as a concern.
Despite the drama, Mai is now focused on ensuring her ex fulfills his financial obligations, so she can move forward and provide for their daughter, Monaco.
