No. Big Sean and Jhene Aiko aren’t headed down the aisle – at least, not yet.
The 36-year-old “Sativa” singer and her longtime partner, Big Sean, also 36, sparked engagement rumors after being photographed leaving the 2024 GQ Men of the Year party, where Aiko sported a large ring on her left hand.

Naturally, fans were quick to speculate that the couple had taken the next step.
A video of Aiko flashing the dazzling sparkler also went viral on X (formerly Twitter), prompting her to clarify the situation with a short but definitive response.
“This ring is from my stylist,” she wrote. “It only fit on that finger. The more you know.”

When another user pressed her to confirm that it wasn’t a wedding ring, the singer replied, “Correct.” She added, “I did get myself something beautiful for my right hand tho.”

This isn’t the first time Aiko has addressed marriage speculation surrounding her and Big Sean.
Back in July, during her sold-out Los Angeles show, Big Sean joined her on stage to perform “Beware.” When he hit the lyric about giving someone a ring, Aiko cheekily pointed to her empty ring finger and mouthed to the crowd, “What ring?”

But while the “Body Language” singer seems open to the idea of marriage, Sean has previously expressed hesitation.
During a conversation on Charlamagne Tha God’s Out of Context Podcast, Big Sean addressed the topic head-on, clarifying that they haven’t secretly tied the knot.
“No, no, there has not been a secret industry marriage,” he said before elaborating on their dynamic.
“It’s a little personal, you know what I mean?” he continued. “But just like to be real with you, just like any people who have dealt with love, we’ve had our ups and downs, you know what I’m saying? And I think it’s still finding the right navigation through it all.”
The “Tobey” rapper went on to say that to him, “marriage symbolizes like the best relationship,” and the idea of having to get hitched is “almost afear—based way of thinking because then people be getting divorced. The divorce rate so fucking high.”
Still, Big Sean isn’t entirely opposed to the idea of marriage.
“I would like to, and I don’t like putting our personal business out there like that either,” he explained. “But there’s a lot of work that needs to be done.”
