3 Non-Surgical Beauty Treatments To Reverse the Aging Process and Look More Youthful

For the bulk of us, anti-aging treatments are something that we start thinking about long before we even reach 40 years old.

This is because, well, we’re kind of forced to.

From slight fine lines and a few sags and wrinkles, to sunspots and hyperpigmentation, the natural aging process can bring a lot of changes to our skin—and does so pretty fast.

This is why beauty treatments and products that reverse or slow down the aging process are so popular among a large range of women from their 50s and 60s, all the way down to their late 20s and early 30s!

Because of this, a one-size-fits-all approach isn’t going to cut it. Sometimes that retinol cream doesn’t work and not everybody is interested in getting plastic surgery or botox. So naturally, there must be a solution to serve the happy medium right?

Right!

There are actually quite a few anti-aging solutions that are cost effective, long lasting, and non-invasive.

But before we get into that, let’s talk about if any skincare treatment is right for you and your skin at this moment.

First, is your skin even treatment ready?

Before you get ready to try any non-invasive skincare procedures that require the assistance of a licensed physician or esthetician, ask yourself this: am I already taking care of my skin to the best of my ability?

If your answer is a no, you might want to go back a few steps and cultivate a skincare routine that actually works for you. The reason for this is simple: a good routine helps you get to know your skin much better.

And if you don’t know your skin very well, how could you possibly know what treatment is right for you or if you even need one at all? Short answer—you can’t.

So before you jump out the window and spend hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars, make sure you have a solid routine and really know what your skin needs.

Now that we’ve got that covered, here are 3 non-surgical beauty treatments to help you look more youthful by slowing or reversing premature aging.

HydraFacial

HydraFacial is an all-in-one, deep cleansing facial that delivers some serious exfoliation, pore extraction to clear up any blockages, a light acid peel, and then finishes everything off with an intensely hydrating face serum—all in just 30 minutes.

The benefit: HydraFacials are relatively fast to perform, absolutely painless, and takes care of multiple skincare needs in just one visit. Plus, it costs around $200-$300 for thousands of dollars worth of benefits.

The drawback: While you will get great results in one visit, your desired results may require multiple visits. This will ultimately make this whole process a lot more time-consuming and expensive than you bargained for.

The verdict: This is the perfect treatment for those of you looking to rejuvenate your skin. It’s an ideal “reset” if you need help getting back on track with proper skincare.

Thermage

Thermage is actually a device that uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production by heating the deeper layers of your skin. This causes the skin in your problem areas—such as cheeks, neck, and eyelids—to look smoother, younger, and more defined.

The benefit: Thermage delivers anti-aging benefits tightening loose skin and reducing wrinkles within days and weeks of treatment. Additionally, there is virtually no downtime. You can return to your daily activities almost immediately after leaving the office.

The drawback: When it comes to non-surgical skincare treatments, this is on the more expensive side of things. Thermage will run you about $2500 for just one session. However, you’ll most likely only need one session every year so you’ll be able to prepare and save.

The verdict: This is the perfect treatment for those of you who are over 45 years old and really dedicated to healthy, anti-aging habits in both skincare and overall health.

CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting is a brand of technology that literally freezes the fat off of your body. According to the brand, it uses special non-surgical tools to chill all excess and bulging fat off from your body and/or face by freezing it to around 39°F (which is 4° Celsius).

The benefit: CoolSculpting treatment has been clinically proven to result in safe, effective fat loss wherever you received the procedure. Plus, it’s an easy treatment to perform and relatively painless, with no downtime and very little recovery or aftercare.

The drawback: While not painful, this process can be uncomfortable due to the intensely cold temperatures being utilized. Similarly, there may be some swelling, bruising, and tingingling after the procedure that may make this process totally not worth it for you.

The verdict: CoolSculpting is a safe alternative for those of you considering expensive and risky cosmetic weight loss surgeries such as body contouring or the lap band.
