DDG took to his social media to blast a nail salon over an incident involving his girlfriend Halle Bailey.
In his post he claimed that the salon Kicked Halle out of the during a manicure and told his followers to give the business a one star rating for being racist.
On November 21 he wrote on X:
“This place is racist towards black people,” he posted on X. “They kicked my girlfriend out while doing her nails.”
In addition, DDG shared a link to the salon’s Yelp page and urged his followers to leave a negative review.
“Please give them a 1 star,” he added. “They don’t deserve business.”
According to AHH When he initially posted the link, the salon had a 4.4 star rating with 49 reviews.
However, the rating had plummeted to 2.5 stars in just a few hours, and the page racked up 115 reviews.
In contrast to previous comments, the majority of posts on November 21 gave a 1 star rating and accused the salon of racism.
Many alluded to Bailey’s rumored pregnancy, with commenters expressing outrage over her alleged treatment.
The store’s Instagram page, which declares “NO POLITICS! NO SKIN COLOR! NO NATIONALITY! ONLY NAILS,” in the bio, was also plagued with negative feedback and accusations of racism, presumably prompted by DDG’s post. The salon responded to one comment by saying it was “not true” that staff kicked Halle Bailey out.
“She was late 35 min,” the salon claimed. “We just didn’t take her.”
After seeing his fan’s handiwork, DDG deleted his initial post and returned with a follow-up.
“good job,” he told his followers. “Thank you.”
Halle’s Explanation
That being said, Halle’s account of the events differed.
According to Halle, she discovered a fantastic nail salon and was eager for Chloe to join her. She scheduled the appointment for 3:10 PM, informing the salon staff that she would arrive by 3 PM.
However, Chloe ended up arriving late.
Halle clarified that she had informed the salon staff about Chloe’s expected tardiness, and upon finding no one else at the salon, she believed that since she had brought them business, they should not honor Chloe’s appointment.
In her perspective, if they decided to cancel Chloe’s appointment, then she wouldn’t consider getting her nails done there either.

The Salon Owner’s response
The salon owner joined a video to present her perspective on the incident.
Describing the situation as ‘an accident,’ she highlighted Halle’s loyalty and verified that Halle had indeed brought them business.
The owner mentioned that Halle had actually arrived 15 minutes past the scheduled time and had inquired about Chloe.
Given Chloe’s 20-minute delay, they were unable to accommodate her.
In an emotional state, the salon owner tearfully conveyed the challenges she has faced due to negative reviews and threats posted on her social media.
Expressing genuine fear, she elaborated on the extent of her distress.
