Phylicia Pearl Mpasi went viral after she filmed a TikTok claiming she wasn’t invited to the Golden Globes even though she was in the Emmy Nominated film.
Phylicia played young Celie in the Musical Adaptation of The Color Purple and during the annual Golden Globes Awards held on Sunday night Phylicia made a cute TikTok pretending to get ready for the event but then ‘realizing’ she was not invited.

When we shared the TikTok To our Instagram, most of you were shocked sis was not allowed to attend.
? why wasn’t she! This industry is annoying
HOW TF WAS SHE NOT INVITED!!! Wowwwww
Opinions among X Users vary, some empathizing with the actress and others claiming she should not be upset since she was not nominated.
To be clear Fantasia Barrino, who plays Celie, was nominated for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture – musical or comedy while Danielle Brooks, who plays Sofia, was nominated for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture.
Wow, this is tacky. I was a fan of hers too! She did great on the movie but this ain’t it.

She wasn’t invited cus the film wasn’t nominated it was individual awards so the whole cast wouldn’t be invited especially due to limited space

Not everything is shade… space is limited, the golden globes are also the only award show that doesn’t do seat fillers.
Priority goes to award nominees and presenters, with additional invitations for behind-the-scenes professionals, media members, and past winners or nominees…

I personally think she’s valid but the industry definitely won’t like this. Good luck to her ?

Phylicia has since removed the TikTok from her account. Do you think she should have posted the tiktok?
Should she have been invited?
