The soulful harmonies that defined a generation are finally getting their story told.
Boyz II Men, the best-selling R&B group of all time, is bringing their remarkable three-decade legacy to the big screen with both a feature film biopic and a documentary in development, Variety reports.
The group, known for their iconic hits like “End Of The Road,” “I’ll Make Love To You,” and “One Sweet Day,” has partnered with Compelling Pictures and Primary Wave to develop the film, with its members Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris signed on as executive producers.
In addition to the biopic, Compelling is working on a documentary capturing the Grammy-winning trio’s rise, impact, and lasting influence throughout the ’90s and 2000s.
Nathan Morris expressed the group’s excitement in a statement saying”
“We’ve been waiting to find the right partners who understand our story and are willing to tell it all. Denis [O’Sullivan] and Jeff [Kalligheri] at Compelling Pictures understood us day one.”

O’Sullivan, renowned for his work on Bohemian Rhapsody, and Kalligheri, recently involved with I Wanna Dance with Somebody, are currently in “early talks with writers and directors and are fast-tracking the Boyz II Men biopic.”
“Having grown up as huge fans of Boyz II Men, and having spent the past couple of years getting to know the guys and become friends with them, it’s a tremendous honor to help bring their unique and untold story to the big screen,” O’Sullivan and Kalligheri said in a joint statement.
“We’re excited to show the brotherhood and comradery, as well as the challenges and strife, humor and heartbreak, that has accompanied the unparalleled success that Nate, Shawn, Wanya, and Mike have worked so hard to achieve,” they continued before adding, “And we think the global audience will want to sing along to a sexy, funny, aspirational, uplifting celebration of friendships and artistic partnerships that have stood the test of time. Doom-doom-doom-da-da….”
The group’s longtime manager Joe Mulvihill chimed in.
“Being with them for over 22 years now, I’ve seen the highs the lows, and all the in-depth emotional human turmoil. I think people will be pleasantly surprised to see behind the curtain.”
Alongside Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris, the biopic’s executive producers also include Ori Allon, Dennis Casali, and Steven Garcia.
