Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh filed to lose her father’s name and paid for her own lawyer.
According to Entertainment Tonight, an insider revealed that:
“Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angie doesn’t know and can’t speak for it.”
The 18-year-old dancer wants to change her name from “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt” to “Shiloh Jolie.”
Shiloh Isn’t The First To Distance Herself From Brad Pitt
Shiloh is the latest sibling to publicly distance themselves from the actor.
Last month, their 15-year-old daughter Vivienne listed herself as “Viviene Jolie” in “The Outsiders” Playbill.
However, it’s unclear if Vivienne legally changed her name.
Their 19-year-old daughter, Zahara, also changed her name to “Zahara Marley Jolie” at her Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority induction in 2023.
Furthermore, the actors’ 22-year-old son, Maddox, also “doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie.”
However, when Maddox changed his name, Angelina didn’t support his decision.
Along with Vivienne, Shiloh, and Maddox, the former couple also share 15-year-old Knox and 20-year-old Pax.
When filing for divorce in 2016 after 12 years together, Jolie requested sole custody of their kids.
Their relationship apparently ended after a 2016 incident where Brad Pitt got physical with Jolie and two of their kids.
