Ww never saw Drake sampling Plain White T’s’ “Hey There Delilah”? on our 2024 bingo cards but here we are.
According to Vibe the 37-year-old rapper appeared on Toronto satire rapper Snowd4y’s track “Wah Gwan Delilah” this week, and many fans are wondering if he is trolling or if AI generated the vocals.

Early Monday afternoon (June 3), a Toronto Hip-Hop page announced that the 6 God was “Dropping an audio” later that evening.
They quickly followed up by saying it would be a remix of Snowd4y’s “Wah Gwan Delilah” and Hush from OVO confirmed it was “one for the city.”
The song finally came out via Soundcloud and Drizzy sang a bunch of Toronto slang in an autotuned high pitch:
“Wah gwan, Delilah?/ Know I’m late ’cause there’s bare traffic/ I just show my dog your ‘Gram/ He said he knows a man that slapped it, I’m so cheesed/ Your ‘mademoiselle’ nights are geeked, I’m bent lowkey/ Wah gwan, Delilah? Double date me if you like me/ Brought my cro’nem for your bestie/ Sorry, he’s wearin’ a shiesty, he’s not beat/ It’s just too smokey in these streets/ You’re looking sweet.”
It is unclear if this song is part of the “summer vibes” that Drake promised after bowing out of the beef with Kendrick Lamar.
Fans wondered if he was trolling or if this was an actual verse from the Toronto superstar himself.
“Drake heard J. Cole’s ‘Grippy’ verse and said hold up I gotta do something even more embarrassing,” one X user wrote. “I can’t believe we’ve reached a point where nobody can tell what is real Drake vocals and what is AI,” another user wrote.
The confusion increased even further when the For All The Dogs artist co-signed the release on his Instagram story. “@snowd4y wake up the city,” he wrote with a laughing emoji and blowing smoke emoji.
Snowd4y is known for his humorous mimicry of Toronto rudeboys, and the five-time Grammy winner is often ridiculed for using his city’s terminology, so some people believed that this was his attempt to deflect any slander by getting in on the joke.
