Rapper Sexxy Red found herself in handcuffs this weekend after a wild brawl at Newark International Airport in New Jersey – and now shocking footage has emerged revealing the whole incident.
Red, whose real name is Jane Nierah Wherry, burst into the middle of a brawl in front of a terminal gate early Saturday – with footage obtained by TMZ showing her wielding a metal stanchion seemingly ready to strike.
The “Pound Town” artist’s fiery entrance was short-lived, though. The footage shows her quickly losing her footing and the pole clattering to the ground.
Meanwhile, her entourage continued to scuffle with unidentified individuals, exchanging punches and kicks over some unknown slight.
Airport security scrambled to break up the brawl, but footage shows Sexxy Red launching herself back into the fray at least two more times when the scuffle sparked back up, surveillance shows.
Despite her repeated attempts to join the melee, it doesn’t seem like Sexxy Red hit anyone. Fortunately, a member of her entourage intervened, pulling her away from the madness, but she was in the mix for a bit.
Eventually, law enforcement arrived, and Sexxy Red was handcuffed and taken into custody, TMZ reported.

The Skee Yee rapper was charged with disorderly conduct, the New Jersey Port Authority said in a statement Tuesday (June 11).
Others involved in the altercation were arrested on assault charges, while some were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
“At 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, PAPD was called to respond to a fight in progress at EWR Terminal C, gate 82,” the statement reads.
“Two victims were found to have lacerations to their heads. The two males accompanying Ms. Wherry, Leslie Baptiste and Carl Thompson, were arrested for assault, and Ms. Wherry was arrested for disorderly conduct. The male victims were transported to University Hospital with minor injuries.”
Later on Instagram, Sexxy Red revealed that she was released from detainment and even offered to replace the phone of one of the people she fought with.
She also shared that she was chilling with Kodak Black.
“I just got out, good morning,” she said in the clip. “To the people that was in that altercation at the airport, please DM me so I can replace yo phone !!”

Efforts have been made to reach out to Sexxy Red’s camp for further comments, but there’s been no response.
