Accoridng to VIBE a pair of social media influencers found themselves fleeing for their lives after an SUV plowed through the glass walls of a Houston restaurant mid-livestream.
Nina Santiago, famously known online as NinaUnrated, and fellow content creator Patrick Blackwood were filming a food review segment at Cuvée’s Culinary Creations in Houston, Texas, when the incident occurred.
Their recording—meant to showcase the restaurant’s acclaimed offerings—captured the surreal moment when a speeding SUV barreled directly into the dining area, sending shards of glass and debris flying.
Both Santiago and Blackwood were hospitalized with injuries but are currently listed in stable condition. Santiago later shared a chilling update from her hospital bed, posting an image showing cuts across her face and body, alongside an emotional caption.
“I’m beyond grateful to be alive after an SUV crashed through the glass wall at @cuveesculinarycreations in Houston, TX, shattering everything while @iampatrickblackwood and I recorded an eating show. It hit us directly me on his left, him on my right as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived,” Santiago wrote.
“This experience showed me who truly matters; life’s too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you — this could’ve been our last meal. Thankful to the universe and our angel pup Loyal, who passed in Nov 2024 and protected us from above,” she concluded, adding the hashtags #Grateful #Survivor #LifeIsPrecious.”
Per TMZ, police sources say the female driver—who has not been publicly identified was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Authorities are calling it a freak accident, though the restaurant owner told TMZ he plans to pursue compensation for the extensive damage.
While both influencers are expected to make a full recovery, the incident has sparked a wave of support from fans—and a stark reminder of just how unpredictable life can be.
