This is so sad yall! It has been reported that Keyshia Cole’s Mother, Frankie has passed away.
Rumors were swirling around that Keyshia Cole’s mom Frankie had passed away but it was never confirmed until today by her daughter Elite Noel.
She wrote via Instagram: “Worse pain ever, to see my mama in a body bag on her birthday. My heart so f*kin Broke.”
Reports spread after Keyshia Cole’s niece Zayya Henderson shared the following post:
“D*** grandma Frankie the call I just got on your birthday . I was just Finna come see you this week I just talked to you happy birthday beautiful and rest in heaven”.
Cause of death
Her alleged cause of death was shared by TMZ:
The R&B singer’s brother, Sam, tells us … Frankie overdosed at her Oakland home Sunday … the same day she was celebrating her born day, when she apparently took drugs while partying — relapsing on what we’re told was a long, hard-fought journey to sobriety. Sam also says the family wants the world to remember Frankie as someone who loved her kids, and who wanted her children to be together … despite their turbulent history.
Keyshia Cole has not confirmed anything but we know her relationship with her mom has been televised and it hasn’t been easy.
She reunited with her mother on season two of her BET reality show after Frankie was released from jail and struggled with drug addiction.
In early 2020 Keyshia praised her mom for checking herself into rehab:
“My day today. ? happy YOU DECIDED ON YOUR OWN, to check YOURSELF INTO a facility to get treatment,” Cole wrote.
“Its only been two weeks but, I’m trying to be hopeful and optimistic ? Maybe that’s what’ll make THIS TIME different,” she continued. “This being what YOU WANTED AND NO ONE ELSE…….. Maybe this is the YEAR IN ALL ASPECTS !!!!! GREATNESS ??? #Mom.”
Frankie recently appeared on Keyshia Cole’s recent reality show My New Life, that aired on BET in 2019.
