Average Joe actor Malcolm Barrett is reportedly under investigation for alleged sexual assault.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by a woman last weekend claiming that Barrett had sexually assaulted her.
According to the news outlet, the woman alleged that she woke up in bed to find the 44-year-old actor touching her after a night of drinking. The woman then claimed “The Boys” star had sex with her against her will.
The woman also reportedly told deputies that she and Barrett had been friends for several months before their night of drinking, which started off “pretty normal with drinks in Los Angeles” and continued at his residence before the alleged assault.
After filing the report, the woman reportedly underwent a sexual assault kit, TMZ reports. The LASD Special Victims Bureau is now handling the case.
As of now, no arrests have been made.
Representatives for Barrett are also yet to respond to inquiries about the situation.
Malcolm Barrett is best known for his roles on several TV shows, including Average Joe, Preacher, Timeless, and The Boys.
