NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss shared a cryptic message concerning his health.
The retired NFL star, who currently works as an ESPN analyst, opened up on Instagram and later on the Sunday NFL Countdown about “battling something internal.”
“Throughout the week of the holidays, your boy has been battling something internal,” Moss said in the IG video. “I just ask for all the prayer warriors to put their blessing hands on me and my family through these hard times.”
“I got a great team of doctors, and I got a great family around me,” he added before encouraging viewers to take care of themselves. “Y’all do your checkups, get your blood work done, and we’ll work through it.”

Moss, 47, then addressed the issue at the top of ESPN’s coverage of Sunday NFL Countdown.
“I put a post up maybe a few minutes ago on Instagram just telling people – you were talking about my eyes last week – and I just want to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally.”
The analyst made headlines last week after fans noticed his eyes appeared yellow. The former athlete has since started wearing sunglasses during his television appearances.
“All right, so you see me with my Michigan turnover glasses on, y’all know what I’m battling,” he added. “God bless y’all. Thanks for the prayers.”

Moss did not reveal any details concerning what he was battling. However, many social media users suspect it might be jaundice or a liver-related condition.
The wide receiver played 14 seasons in the NFL, most notably with the Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots.
The 47-year-old is also considered one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, being named a first-team All-Pro four times and leading the league in receiving touchdowns on five occasions.

Earlier this year, Moss replaced Peyton Manning as host of the Netflix series Receiver, which Manning’s Ohama Productions co-produced.
“This year, we switched it up. Instead of giving quarterbacks even more love, we followed five of the league’s best pass catchers throughout the 2023 season,” Moss said in the opening of the series.
