Usher took to Instagram to share a funny story about his son.
According to Complex, the singer’s teenage son Naviyd wanted a follow-back from PinkPantheress, his “favorite artist.”
The singer shared screenshots of his son’s interactions, where Naviyd identified himself and told PinkPantheress how big of a fan he was.
“Hello this is Usher’s son Naviyd I’m you true biggest fan. Please follow me back ???????????????????????????????? @_naviyd_ I put him on to masterpieces????.”

Usher got curious when he saw DMs between his account and another with the Powerpuff Girls’ Buttercup as the profile picture.
“I open it and I’m like oh this boy done DMd this girl from my damn phone.”
The singer reached out to PinkPantheress to apologize for his son, but she was cool with the whole thing–she even invited both dad and son to her show.
The singer respected his son’s initiative–even though Usher now can’t trust him around his phone–and told the singer:
“I had to send him considering his level of dedication and creativity…to figure out getting your attention through stealing my phone… that’s commitment. Hopefully you guys get to link.”
And the pair met.
Naviyd’s current profile photo is a picture he took with PinkPantheress.
“This was a great moment for Naviyd … this was him movin on something he was passionate about. Yes…he violated my trust in the process and for that I will never trust him around my phone, but I should have known better. Nonetheless, I appreciate the hustle and him makin it happen.
