Yung Miami, half of the dynamite rap duo City Girls, has got us scratching our heads.
She compared herself to the queen of talk shows, Oprah Winfrey–which is okay.
However, she’s calling herself the “Black” version of the celebrated journalist.
According to TMZ, this eyebrow-raising claim happened on an upcoming episode of “Drink Champs.”

Yung Miami acknowledged that Oprah is, indeed, a Black woman, so her claim can only be considered a diss.
Last year, Miami shared the “Best Hip Hop Platform” award with “Drink Champs” for her show “Caresha Please” on Revolt TV.
Although she’s just ten episodes in, Miami seems confident enough to draw parallels between her burgeoning hosting gig and Oprah’s illustrious career.
Let’s remember Oprah has captivated audiences since the mid-80s when Miami wasn’t even born.
So, she might have a bit of a journey–like a decade or two–before her name can be held in the same esteem as Oprah.
In addition, suggesting that Oprah might not be “Black enough” could stir up a storm of controversy in the future.
It’s a statement that will open a Pandora’s box of reactions!
She shouldn’t disrespect Oprah like that!
