On Monday (August 12), Safaree announced a huge back-to-school drive for children in the Waterhouse district of Kingston, Jamaica after the community was devastated Hurricane Beryl.
In his video he said he intended on making the event the best they had ever seen asking for donations He also asked for donations to contribute towards his efforts from friends that know him personally.
“I’m taking this money out of my pocket,’ he said in a video. “I’m a do whatever I could do to help this community.”
He wrote:
THE SAFAREE FOUNDATION WILL BE doing a community treat giveback in Kingston Jamica LAST WEEK OF August before the kids go back to school. THEY NEED SHOES SCHOOL SUPPLIES I WILL ALSO DO WHATEVER I CAN DO FOR THEIR HOMES AS FAR AS BEDS FANS AND THINGS TO MAKE MY PEOPLE COMFORTABLE! If you know me hit me up and donate to the cause!!!! I’m on my heal the world journey!!! 1st of many! LETS MAKE HISTORY!!!
Well like clockwork Erica Mena hopped on Instagram to slam her ex for paying more attention to other people’s children than his own.
“Before you guys get scammed like I did by this wasteman overnight wannabe prophet,” she began, “this individual has no idea that his children have actually started school. Yeah, your daughter is officially in Pre-K and started yesterday.”
She then confessed that she missed taking her daughter to her first day of school because of work saying Safaree should have stepped up.
“While I’m feeling guilty, muthafuckas is out here trying to make the world believe that they actually have a charity because they care about other people’s children,” she added. “How can you care about anybody else’s children when you don’t even care about your own?”
Her message didn’t quite hit the way she thought though.
