In case you all do not know my husband and I run a couple of automotive blogs along with this one and from time to time we will have the opportunity of reviewing a car. Remember this post? And then there was the time we reviewed the Mazda MX-5 Miata Club.
So far we have worked with just Mazda and about a week ago they dropped off the 2017 Mazda6 Grand Touring in machine gray metallic.
Since we have had a few of them, we started to see a trend in the quality and craftsmanship that goes into each vehicle in the Mazda lineup.
The Mazda6 Grand Touring comes packaged in an attractive, sporty and stylish exterior that looks amazing and different from others in its class and the elegant yet roomy interior design further separates the Mazda6 from its rivals.
For the 2017 edition, Mazda added many of the top features that are found on the Mazda CX-9. Premium features like leather-trimmed seats and heated steering wheel with traditional Japanese Chidori stitching. – Girl the interior was to die for!
The M6 Grand Touring also has a rearview camera and I must admit, for me this feature is great to have but I still tend to look behind me when reversing just out of habit, but I loved using it.
Additionally, it had an adaptive front lighting system which adjusts the distribution of light from the headlights depending on driving circumstances. The AFS actually points low-beams headlights in the direction you are anticipated to travel which is absolutely cool.
The Mazda6 also comes standard with a new technology called G-Vectoring Control (GVC). G-Vectoring is a Mazda exclusive technology that uses the engine in conjunction with steering and suspension for smoother steering and fewer steering corrections while driving. GVC technology delivers more sure-footed handling and greater driver and passenger confidence.
Mazda offers ample space for the needs of a growing family without sacrificing style or comfort; and although we are a family of 3, I would also recommend it for singles or couples without kids. My four yr old enjoyed every bit of this car including all the space he had in the back and the sunroof.
The Mazda6 has curb appeal too; it looks great parked at home or at the office. However, the real fun is behind the wheel, whether that drive is on the road or in suburban-urban daily commuter traffic the smooth acceleration and responsive handling performs well in either scenario.
At its core, the Mazda6 is an elegant, comfortable and reliable midsize sedan and it really it doesn’t matter which one of life’s events you are embarking on because you can rest assured that you will get it done a little easier in a Mazda.
What’s great:
Comfortable, upscale interior
Smooth crisp steering
Great fuel economy
What’s not so great:
No hybrid or V6 options
More notable features:
• Heads up active driving display with speed, navigation directions and other info within driver’s sight

indicators

console, headliner and doors to drastically lessen NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness)

The Mazda6 Grand Touring is offered in three trim levels: Sport, Touring and Grand Touring with a starting MSRP price of $22,995.00. The price of the vehicle we tested was: $30,695.00.
In conclusion, this was a car that my family missed dearly when it was finally picked up. We drove it around town, I ran quite a few errands comfortably, we took it out on a mini road trip and it was great on gas!
I am on the market for a car and this one is definitely on my list. Do you own a Mazda? Comment below!
