Canadian rapper Tory Lanez recently wed Raina Chassagne, long-time fiancée and mother of his six-year-old child.
The news broke unexpectedly through a bail motion filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court.
According to Rap-Up, court reporter Megan Cuniff first shed light on the documents.
“From his sentencing hearing engagement announcement to his bail motion wedding announcement, Tory Lanez’s relationship status has advanced rapidly in the last few weeks. His fiancée is now his wife, according to the motion.”
The bail motion reveals that if Lanez is granted bail, he will stay in Los Angeles with his new bride, Raina Chassagne, and their child.
Chassagne and their young one are reportedly relocating from Florida to California for the child’s education.

The situation took a dramatic turn when an altercation brewed between Cuniff and Lanez’s lawyer, Jose Baez.
Cuniff’s query about Baez’s Italian holiday snaps on Instagram—while Lanez remains incarcerated—was met with a sharp rebuke.
Baez later clarified that administrative delays affected the bail motion.
Still, he confirmed that all potential options for Lanez are under evaluation.
The ongoing case revolves around Lanez appealing his 10-year sentence for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Lanez currently resides in a segregated prison unit, allowed only two daily hours out of confinement.
He’s also permitted merely three hours of fresh air weekly, with staff keeping a close watch.
The bail motion, presented by the non-profit Unite the People, is scheduled for a hearing on September 5.
