The actor started:
“Look, April 11th last year… Bad headache. I asked my boy for an Advil.”
Foxx snapped his fingers and added:
“I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything. So they told me — I’m in Atlanta — so they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor.”
Foxx revealed the medication he received:
“They gave me a cortisone shot.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, a cortisone injection relieves pain, irritation, and swelling.
Foxx pointed at his head and continued:
“The next doctor said something’s going on up there. I won’t say it on camera.”
Jamie Foxx credited his sister Deidra for saving his life during his health crisis.
He shared an Instagram post with the caption:
“without you I would not be here … had you not made the decisions that you made I would’ve lost my life.”
The actor sat out season 6 of Beat Shazam, but has returned.
Foxx also doesn’t plan on keeping his illness a mystery forever.
He teased an upcoming standup comedy special where he will address exactly what happened.
