Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have finalized their divorce.
According to the Associated Press, an LA Superior Court judge dissolved the almost three-year marriage.
The divorce was finalized six months after the pop star filed a divorce petition.
Ariana Grande And Dalton Gomez Separated A Year Ago
Even though 30-year-old Grande filed for divorce six months ago, the pair separated over a year ago.
They have no kids, had a prenup, and had no major legal disputes.
The process was quick and clean, unlike some of the high-profile divorces we’ve seen.
After agreeing to the terms of their settlement in October, they only waited six months for a judge’s order to take effect.
Under their agreement, Ariana Grande will pay Gomez $1,250,000 with no future alimony.
Grande will also pay $25,000 for Gomez’s attorney fees and will share half of the proceeds from selling their LA home.
According to the BBC the couple’s relationship began in January 2020 shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, and they wed in a “tiny and intimate” ceremony at her home in Montecito, California, in May 2021.
In 2020 they made their first public appearance together as a couple in the lockdown music video for Grande and Justin Bieber’s collaboration, Stuck With U.
That December, the pop star announced her engagement in an Instagram post, captioning it “Forever n then some”.
Grande, a two-time Grammy Award winner, released her seventh studio album, titled Eternal Sunshine, on March 8th.
