Earlier today DJ Envy’s business partner, Cesar Pina, was arrested in New Jersey.
Pina is facing wire fraud charges before being released on bond.
This entire situation is rooted in accusations that Pina was misappropriating funds from real estate investors.
He and DJ Envy had been jointly conducting seminars on real estate investment.
However, the situation soured as individuals started to allege that Pina had accepted their money without returning the promised investments.
In Envy’s case, there have been no direct accusations of him misappropriating funds. Instead, a number of individuals are pointing fingers at him for connecting them with Pina, who allegedly engaged in the illicit financial activities.
Due to Envy’s affiliation with Pina, it appears that the radio host has come under Federal scrutiny.
According to an NBC report, Federal agents recently visited the iHeartRadio offices and seized some electronic equipment.
Just last week, Envy publicly addressed the case, vehemently asserting his innocence in all matters related to it.
