Doja Cat made a hair raising statement at Coachella recently and we have the details behind the look.
Doja has been pretty outspoken about all of the chatter surrounding her 4C natural hair even resorting to calling fans out who have compared her curls to ‘pubic hair’.
She said:
“My hair is 4C hair, which a lot of you don’t care, that’s fine, but I’m seeing a consistent pattern in my comment section of people saying is my hair pubic hair, is it carpet or is it sheep’s wool,” Doja said. “We gotta move forward. Let’s move forward. Let’s grow.”
During one of her Coachella performances it was all about the hair.
French Fashion designer Charlie Le Mindu known for his avant-garde and boundary-pushing creations, particularly in the realm of hair design and haute couture helped Doja pull off her statement.

According to the creative director Brett Lannelson all of the hair featured in Doja’s set was human hair, not one ounce of synthetic hair was used.
According to PEOPLE the second half of the performance Doja ditched the wig and let out her bleached buzz cut — which let the remaining looks, including two see-through galactic space suits in white and gold, a floss bikini and a high-cut bodysuit with three-dimensional boning — do all the talking.
She even matched her close-shaved cut with a fluffy cropped vest and thong accessorized with oversize Willy Wonka shades and a big teddy bear coat.
