Fantasia dropped out of school when she was just 14 yrs old and at 26 she earned her GED.
Now, according to Atlanta Black Star, the singer, and American Idol winner has joined college.
Fantasia Is Studying Again

To keep the paparazzi from disturbing her studies, the singer did not reveal which college she’s attending or what major she’s taken.
However, the 38-year-old had kind words for her sorority sister she called Yvonne, who has offered tremendous support.
I went back to school, I went back to school. Shoutout to my soror Yvonne. Uhh she’s back in school, I’m back in school. We push each other.
Last November, Fantasia Barrino told her Instagram followers that the Sigma Gamma Rho had inducted her as an honorary member.
During the induction, Barrino wore a sleek black gown, and sorority sisters in gold and blue surrounded her.
Y’all have no idea how long I been waiting to share this news!! I’ve been inducted as an Honorary #SigmaGammaRho.
To the mom of three, getting a college diploma is a significant step.

She dropped out when just a freshman, though it’s because she could barely write or read.
In the singer’s 2006 biopic, she revealed her belief that she didn’t need education because she wanted to focus on a singing career.
However, her mindset changed with time.
In 2009, Barrino returned to her hometown and got her GED at her local high school.
Barrino’s children were her inspiration to return to school.
Because of the singer’s status, many young people looked up to her.
She wanted to inspire her kids to stay in school and not drop out as she did.
The American Idol winner now has three kids: a 20-year-old daughter, an 11-year-old son, and a one-year-old daughter.
Barrino is doing the right thing; we should applaud her for her decision.
