GloRilla is urging Nicki Minaj and her cousin Cardi B to stop with the beef and collaborate on a track that would break records.
On her new mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang, she’s calling for peace among all the women in rap but she has a special request for Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
The album dropped at midnight on Friday, April 5th.
Featuring 12 tracks totaling just over 30 minutes, it includes collaborations with Moneybagg Yo, Finesse 2X, Boston Richey, and others. The release date for the project was also set for Friday, April 5th.
Prior to the album’s release, the Memphis rising star made waves with the lead single “Yeah Glo” and teased a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.
The duo shared a teaser for their single earlier in the week, and the music video is set to premiere at noon on Friday.
On the song “Aite,” GloRilla said
“I just pray one day the bad b###### would come together,” she raps. “’Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f#####’ records.”
Glo also touches on the strained relationship with her previous collaborator, City Girls’ rapper JT, mentioning,
“Me and JT ain’t close, but there’s no beef between us.”
Rumors of a rift between them surfaced after an alleged incident at the 2023 MTV VMAs last October. Speculation arose due to Glo and Cardi’s collaboration on “Tomorrow 2,” which some interpreted as containing veiled references to JT and Nicki Minaj.
Recently Glo visited the Tamron Hall show and we saw a different side of her when she received a surprise message from her dad.
During the sweet moment, her dad said:
“I’m the father of GloRilla, otherwise known as my baby, Gloria Woods. I am very proud of my daughter,” said Edwin C. Woods in the video that featured sweet throwback pics of a teenage Glo, as well as snaps from her White House trip. “She has risen from humble beginnings to going to the White House. I am extremely proud of Gloria and may she have many, many more days of success.”
The “Yeah Glo!” rapper teared up watching her dad saying.. “I love my dad so much,” ….“He’s like one of the closest people to my heart. I love my dad.”
