Jodie Turner-Smith has finally discussed her divorce from Joshua Jackson and is seeing the breakup in a positive light.
“Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working. And that’s OK.”
According to Page Six, the 37-year-old British actress shared her thoughts with The Times of London on Sunday.
“The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children.”
Jodie Turner-Smith Filed For Divorce Last Year
The model filed for divorce in October 2023 after being married for almost four years.
That said, she doesn’t consider the ill-fated marriage a failure.
“I don’t think it’s a failure. We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting.”
The actress urged people in relationships to take a step back and ask themselves if they are staying true to themselves.
“If the answer is no, then you have to make a move because I believe that there are visible scars from staying in places that are not good for us. And they don’t just affect us, they affect everybody around us.”
After the news of the divorce spread, an insider revealed that Turner-Smith filed for divorce because of an “unhealthy” marriage.
“They are on very different paths in life. Jodie loves being a mom. She also loves working.”
Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson married in 2019 and had their baby, Juno Rose Diana Jackson, in 2020.
Jackson is now going out with actress Lupita Nyong’o, as the pair were spotted in December holding hands on a romantic stroll.
Turner-Smith, meanwhile, was spotted with a mystery man at a Halloween party.
