Kandi Burruss is two steps away from EGOT!
The celebrity announced her nomination for a Southeast Emmy Award for the “Historic/Cultural/Politics/Government/Societal Concerns” category for her performance in La Musica de La Familia.
“It’s a project that I never even told anybody I was involved in. Hopefully I will have another moment like this tomorrow, as they announce the Tony nominations tomorrow.”

Kandi Burruss Is Close To Making History
It seems that Kandi and her hubby, Todd Tucker, have the Midas touch.
The Broadway show they produced, The Piano Lesson, was nominated for the “Best Revival of a Play” category for the upcoming Tony Awards.
The play also received recognition in three separate categories for the Drama League Awards, and in five categories for the Drama Desk Awards.
Is there anything these two can’t do?
According to Bravo, The Piano Lesson made history by becoming the highest-earning August Wilson play in history.

With the Tony nod, it seems Kandi is realizing her dreams.
The singer and reality star took to Instagram to express her excitement.
“Y’all I’ve been screaming [and] praising God all morning! Wow! Just wow! We got the Tony nomination yall! I’ve been praying for this. To share this moment with my husband is just awesome.”
