Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods might have reconnected, but their fallout left Jenner heartbroken.
In a November cover story with Elle Magazine, Jenner 27, said she and Woods, 27, didn’t have a “full cold-turkey cutoff” in terms of their communication in the aftermath of the Woods’ Tristan Thompson kissing scandal in 2019, but she was brokenhearted.
After the incident, “I was heartbroken,” Jenner said. “We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff. It was needed distance.”
Before the fallout, the besties were practically inseparable. “Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her. To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that,” Jenner continued.
“I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself. It helped me grow up a little bit because we were so attached at the hip. I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well.”
Now Jenner keeps her private life more private.
“I think it’s important to keep things to yourself,” the Khy founder explained. “It’s hard for me to make a decision by myself sometimes, so the opinion of the whole world…it can be tough.”
Jenner cut ties with Woods after reports surfaced that Thompson had cheated on Khloe Kardashian, Jenner’s half-sister, by kissing Woods at a party.
During her Red Table Talk interview, Woods addressed the rumors saying she had been drunk when it happened.
“I don’t think he’s wrong either, because I allowed myself to be in this position,” she said. “I didn’t know how to feel. I was like, ‘That didn’t just happen,’ because I was leaving already so I walked out immediately after. And I got in the car and was like, ‘No, that didn’t happen,’ I [told him] I need to go. I was in shock.”
Later that year, in a sit-down with Cosmopolitan UK, Woods shared that she hoped time would help them find their way back to each other.
“I love her. That’s my homie,” Woods said. “I hope everything falls into place and that we can all grow and build our relationships with our family and God and come back together one day and be stronger and happier.”
Well, time did heal and in July 2023, the besties were spotted out for dinner together in L.A. They’ve also reunited several other times including in September 2023 at a NYC Fashion Week dinner and in January at a Paris Fashion Week fiesta.
Then last month, Jenner and Woods seemed to solidify their reconnection with a TikTok post with Jenner’s other BFF Stassie Karanikolaou. They were lip-syncing to a clip of Kim from The Kardashians.
“Okay guys, we’re back,” Kim said in the audio, which Jenner, Woods, and Karanikolaou all mouthed. “Did you miss us? Cause we missed you.”
