Megan is back baby!
Over the past few weeks, Megan Thee Stallion has been teasing her latest track, “Cobra” and while we did not completely understand the direction of the video at the time …..we 100% got the message today.
Like a snake that shed’s it’s skin, Megan is shedding her past, being vulnerable and dishing on what may have happened between her and Ex.. Pardi Fontaine.
She raps:
“Pulled up, caught him cheatin’, gettin’ his dick sucked in the same spot I’m sleepin’,” ….“Lord, give me a break, I don’t know how much more of this s*** I can take.”
According to Vibe first whispers of a breakup occurred at the top of 2022, as Meg was rumored to have gotten physical with Pardi while drunk.
She also deleted all of her Instagram posts featuring the “Backin’ It Up” artist, adding fuel to the fire.
Pardi addressed the breakup and abuse allegations head-on, writing on his Instagram Stories:
“Stop this cap nobody puttin hands on nobody … (At least not in that way). Been seein the break up rumors and was lettin y’all imaginations run … but y’all gettin too crazy … ain’t give ni**a a story so they made one … we really been on it double time.”
The video also addresses Megan’s mental health, for instance, she talks about wanting to slit her wrists and how people profited off of her despite her pain.
She also said she missed her parents.

Twitter reaction:
This is the hardest I ever heard a rapper go off this year, without being biased. You can’t deny the effort and vulnerability she puts into the song and mv. The ending got me even more excited #Cobra pic.twitter.com/619nMN85Yn

I guess I’m the only who remembers when Megan said this on Hot 97. The thing about karma, you never know when it’s going to hit. Stop playing side piece for exes because you’re scared to up your body count??♀️ pic.twitter.com/8LuwSiJxQV

Megan Thee Stallion ?? #COBRA
Meg was able to utilize art to such a high degree. The use of Rock music is historically rebellious and feels the same here, the shedding of skin, paparazzi, and her lyricism is immaculate.
