Monica Garcia will not return for the next season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
According to People, the 40-year-old won’t join costars Angie Katsanevas, Whitney Rose, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, and Heather Gay when the next season starts shooting next month.
The show’s executive producers confirmed the news on Tuesday in a Variety interview.
They suggested it might be “a break” instead of an exit for Monica Garcia.
Garcia hasn’t commented.
Monica Garcia Was The Highlight Of The Latest Season
Monica Garcia, the first Latina to join The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, was a hit with fans and critics for breathing new life into the show.
Superfan Jennifer Lawrence even declared that the cast gave Oscar-worthy performances in the show’s latest season.
News of the mother of four’s exit came hours before the RHOSLC reunion’s final part aired, where we learned she’s behind RealityVonTease.

Monica Garcia revealed she posted on the account during the show’s dramatic season finale but revealed that she’s only one of several people running the account.
“I didn’t say s— about anyone else other than Jen and I will own that to the grave.”
But Garcia’s lies still stung the cast members.
Gay called her a “cyberbully internet troll,” and their costars agreed.
“You f—ing deceived all of us.” Barlow
“You’ve sat here with us for three months and not told us the truth.” Marks
In the reunion’s last two installments, Garcia defended herself while her costars wrote her off as a fan who pretended to be their friend while talking smack behind their backs.
But it’s this behavior that viewers love about Monica Garcia–even though it endangered her presence on the show.
“I think the question is how will Monica, or will Monica, find her way back into this group?” Bravo executive Andy Cohen
