Hip-hop legend and marijuana connoisseur Snoop Dogg left us all scratching our heads last Thursday when he announced he was “giving up smoke.”
However, he has revealed that this was misdirection as he wasn’t referring to weed; instead, he was talking about a new partnership with Solo Stove.
According to Vibe, Snoop Dogg uploaded an Instagram video making the clarification.
“I have an announcement; I’m giving up smoke. I know what you’re thinking: ‘Snoop, smoke is kind of your whole thing.’ But I’m done with it, done with the coughing and my clothes smelling all sticky. I’m going smokeless… Solo Stove fixed fire. They take out the smoke. Clever.”
The video ends with Snoop roasting marshmallows on the contraption and laughing, knowing he’s just promoted the brand so cleverly that they’ll probably double what they are paying him.

Instead of being miffed, commenters enjoyed Snoop Dogg’s sleight-of-hand.

Even the official X Games account chipped in.

However, some eagle-eyed fans had earlier noted that Snoop mentioned he was giving up smoke, not smoking.
