Famous TikTok influencer Elsa Majimbo, who went viral during the pandemic’s early days, has had a falling out with Naomi Campbell.
The Kenyan comedian rose to fame in 2020 by sharing satirical monologues while wearing tiny sunglasses and snacking on potato chips.
In 2021, Elsa teamed up with Valentino and landed endorsements from Mac and Fenty.
How Elsa Majimbo Met Naomi Campbell
According to The Sun, Elsa first met Naomi Campbell in 2020.
Elsa DM’ed the supermodel, who was in Nairobi then, and asked if they could meet up.
Naomi shared her location and invited Elsa and her bro to join her vacation.
Elsa also claims that one of Naomi’s friends told her Naomi claimed to be responsible for Elsa’s success: “she told us she made you.”
In the clip, Elsa revealed that Naomi suggested they work together on a documentary following Elsa’s life in Kenya.
In 2022, Elsa’s self-titled short film premiered at the TriBeCa Film Festival.
This apparently got on Naomi’s nerves as she thought Elsa had actioned the supermodel’s plans without involving her.
Elsa added that Naomi threatened to sue her for the film’s rights.
The comedian promised to call Naomi back the next day, but she had a 22-hour flight and couldn’t keep her promise.
This properly pissed off Naomi.
“She was like, ‘This is the last time I’m speaking to you. Have a nice life.'”
Elsa revealed that her career went into a slump after her falling out with Naomi.
“Things started going very badly for me. I thought it was because of the situation, but I wanted to be sure.”
Elsa added that she tried several times to call Naomi.
When the supermodel finally answered, she told Elsa to stop trying to reach her.
Furthermore, the situation made Elsa start drinking heavily.
Elsa finished the video by admitting she gained much credibility from Naomi Campbell.
However, the two “are not friends, we’re not enemies, we’re not anything.”
