Nothing like a little ink to celebrate a special occasion and your first mother’s day is just that.
With that said Halle Bailey and DDG took to social media to show off their matching ‘Halo’ tattoos.
Halle, who has never had a tattoo, showed her social media followers her hand, which featured her son’s name neatly written across her wrist.
She captioned it:
“got my first tattoo yesterday for mother’s day in honor of my baby halo.”
DDG joined in on the picture with a slightly bigger version.
People loved the gesture, one user writing:
“Now this is the matching tattoo I can get down with,”
Another said:
I won’t get my partners name, but I’ll get my child’s name tatted.”
Halle also took to her Instagram feed to celebrate motherhood with some behind the scenes footage of the moment she saw baby Halo.
In her caption she wrote:
“My first Mother’s Day. The greatest love I’ve ever known,”

With all the sweet messages in the comment section, folks could not help but try to decipher what the Mermaid actress said at the beginning of the video.
She seemingly said, “I feel like I’m going to sh-t myself,” which was hilarious and a perfect description!
“‘I feel like I’m going to sh-t myself’ HALLE PLSSS,” one user commented.
“‘Omg I feel like I’m gonna sh-t myself!’ That is the epitome of motherhood,” another said. “Happy Mother’s Day!!”
““I feel like I just sh-t on myself” Happy Mother’s day still,” a third wrote.
Halle Bailey On Motherhood
One’s things for sure Halle chose how she would control the process of introducing baby Halo to the world and though she is often criticized for it she was clear:
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son,” ….. “Welcome to the world, my Halo. The world is desperate to know you.”
After receiving backlash for keeping the birth of her son a “secret,” the actress clapped back, telling the world that it was her choice and that she was not obligated to share the news if she didn’t want to.
“What was one of the biggest highlights of my life, and to be real, one of the biggest challenges, too, cannot compare to the biggest joy of my life, and that was becoming a mom to my perfect little angel, Halo,” she said during her acceptance speech at the 2024 Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards.
“There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone,” she added. “Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligation to expose him, me, or my family to that unyielding spotlight.”
