Most shoe brands tend to focus on children and adults, but what about toddlers?
That’s where Tippy Tot Shoes comes in.
This is a luxury shoe brand for toddlers.
Its shoes follow timeless styles that make a statement. Its goal is to make toddlers feel and look fantastic.
Designed for children from birth to 3 years old, the brand also sells outerwear and upper hard bottoms.
Yolandra Rodgers founded the brand in 2013 to cater to the young ones.
She realized that toddlers, who were starting to move around, needed baby shoes tailored to them.
The shoes had to have excellent construction, and they needed to feel cozy so that the toddlers would find it easier to move around.
Rodgers has been pushing awareness of her brand since then.
She took part in the FedEx Small Business Competition, whose main aim was to raise awareness of small, upcoming brands and to assist underserved brands to find sustainable business growth.
All this hard work has paid off. Rodgers recently got a partnership with Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus stores.
According to the company’s website, both Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus are high-end retail brands that fall under the Neiman Marcus Group.
For over a hundred years, the Neiman Marcus Group has been the destination for superior service, an elevated retail experience, and luxury goods and fashion.
It is currently focusing on supporting Black-owned businesses and growing underserved communities.
The Neiman Marcus Group is offering Rodgers plenty of tools, resources and support to show that it cares more about community and commitment than just making the “sale”.
With this, Rodgers’ Tippy Tot Shoes has become the first toddler shoe line owned by a Black person.
Naturally, she is elated by this.
She plans to keep building and expanding the shoe line to new markets and new consumers.
