For the first time since their divorce announcement, Da’Naia Jackson seemingly addresses her ex-husband’s infidelity and their divorce.
Relationship guru Derrick Jaxn announced his divorce from his wife Da’Naia Jackson back in December.
On Instagram Da’Naia wrote:
When the man you love & have kids with destroys your soul with reckless decision-making, you must CHOOSE be alone with God.
When your heart has been shattered & reshaped into something that doesn’t quite feel normal inside your chest, with mental, emotional, & soul pain that is unbearable, there is only ONE MAN who can fix it, & that is the HOLY SPIRIT.
When you are suffering so much that each next breath seems excruciating, & you don’t know how you can live without that man while at the same time being angry with that man because he has crushed your spirit due to his unconscious ?
You have made an idol of that man, husband or not.
If you have heard, “God hates divorce,” & using that for strength to “work it out” with a man who continuously “chooses”.
You have made an idol of that man, you are people-pleasing, & you’re out of order in the sight of God. Married or not. And this requires repentance & renunciation.
One thing God “hates” more than divorce is a woman with a destroyed soul idolizing a man who does not have the power to destroy her soul and body in hell fire (Matt 10:28)
Intimacy with the Holy Spirit is how you survive & become genuinely healed from the inside out. There is no other way.
It is easy to assume God is doing nothing when you’re dealing with the trauma of betrayal, & the truth is God is not doing anything > IF < you have not given Him anything to do. Healing is a two-way street where YOU must EXCHANGE your brokenness, hurt, pain, and trauma FOR healing provided by HIS STRIPES.
I’ve mastered The Art of Healing God’s Way because I’ve developed a personal, intimate relationship with Him meeting with Him multiple times a day.
I’ve learned that He is made strong in my weakness, & it takes Him a nanosecond to heal what natural world therapy would take years to “manage” with side effects known as “triggers.” When God comes to heal, He heals completely, there are no side effects, & “triggers” are disarmed & powerless by His Power.
My secret to surviving public mockery, scrutiny, scandal, betrayal, and dishonor is surrendering to the Lord.

Derrick announced divorce amidst cheating rumors with a lengthy Instagram post he curated from another creator.
At that time he wrote:
Over the past several months, my family and I have gone through many changes. Some of you have speculated while others of you have reached out to offer support as we privately established this new normal for ourselves and our beautiful children.
Earlier this year after much prayer, counseling, and deep consideration, we decided to go our separate ways and filed for divorce. Making the decision to file was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but I’ve found peace knowing that our mission of raising healthy children, starting with healthy and whole parents is still being accomplished.
From falling in love as just teenagers, to becoming spouses and now co-parents, I’m grateful for the years we’ve spent together and wouldn’t trade them for anything. I was blessed to have such an amazing person in my life and will forever be thankful for all she’s meant to our family.
