Will Smith has reached out to comedian Chris Rock to repair their friendship, however, according to reports Rock is still giving him the cold shoulder.
Only some people remember the Oscar winners, but we all remember the “slap heard around the world.”
Will Smith Hasn’t Given Up on Rock
According to People, the 54-year-old has felt terrible for assaulting Rock in front of the world.
“He’s tried unsuccessfully to make amends in the best way he could with Chris.”
After the incident, Smith found comfort in his family.
He also looked inward and matured.
According to People, Smith is in a better headspace but still regrets his actions.
Chris Rock Finally Addressed The Incident
For a long time, Chris Rock refused to address the incident.
However, the 58-year-old comedian finally addressed it on Saturday during Netflix’s first live broadcast.

Rock’s response was sure to disappoint anyone who wanted the two Black legends to patch things up.
Rock mentioned the incident at the show’s end, dissing Smith and his wife.
The comedian referred to Jada Pinkett-Smith’s entanglement when she and Will Smith were temporarily separated.
The Smiths discussed this incident during their Red Table Talk Show.
Rock added salt to the wound when he mentioned how everyone considered Smith a b-tch after the news.
The comedian then went on a rant, repeatedly calling Smith a b-tch.
“And who’s he hit? Me, a n— he knows he can beat. That is some bitch-ass s—.”
Rock even admitted he watched “Emancipation” only to see Smith get whipped.
It’s clear that even if Smith wants to end the animosity between them, Rock is not ready.
Perhaps the two will become friends again, but after Rock’s latest comedy special, we are a long, long way from that.

Chris Rock has used my family as punching bags for his entire career.
Yet I am supposed to feel bad for him getting slapped and humiliated on the Oscars.
After seeing a new clip of him attacking my dead uncle in the first minutes of his “Retaliation-I’m still relevant ”special,… https://t.co/r8dNZUZ5fr— Taj Jackson (@tajjackson3) March 6, 2023
I didn’t watch that Chris Rock special and I’m not going to.
But absolutely nothing being reported today surprises me.
